Steph Carrier
Steph Carrier has been a lover of cinema since he first saw Star Wars as a
young boy. Interest in mixing for film began during high school, when he
watched foley artist Andy Malcolm's short film "Track Stars". After
completing the Engineer program at Harris for the Arts, Steph went on to
work for Sound by Deluxe (called Film House at the time) as a video
operator. Steph assisted the mixer's on shows such as Nelvana's Beetlejuice,
Road to Avonlea and Street Legal. In 1994 Steph moved over to Casablanca to
help start up the new mixing studio. He began his mixing career with the
television series PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. From there he
migrated to more project based shows such as The Judy Garland Story, Owning Mahowny and Beowulf & Grendel. A proponent of Canadian Cinema, he spends his off time with his wife and two children, playing music and watching hockey.
