Lou Solakofski
Having worked with internationally acclaimed directors such as David Cronenberg, Guy Maddin, Denys Arcand, Alan Rudolf, Sturla Gunnarsson and David Yates, Lou has proven himself to be one of Canada’s top Re-Recording
Mixers.
With almost fifty Best Sound awards and nominations to his name, Lou has officially run out of room on his mantle – and ours. He’s won an Emmy for his work on “Nuremberg”, a BAFTA award for “Sex Traffic”, a Cinema Audio Society award for “Joan of Arc”, numerous Gemini awards, as well as MPSE, Anik, and Blizzard awards.
Lou is equally content and comfortable working on both features and indie films. He also specializes in music projects such as “Yo-Yo Ma – Inspired by Bach” for world-renowed Rhombus Media, and “Metal: A Headbangers Journey” for Banger Productions. His broad range of experience brings a huge palette of creative possibilities to the mix.
